Get Outta My Pub!
It seems, for some reason or other, Labour MPs are being banned from pubs across the country. Might it have something to do with changes to business rates?
That seems to be the case.
I'm not going to wax lyrical about what's going on, but one thing did stick out to me. A video by Tom Hayes, Labour MP for Bournemouth East being banned from his local the Laderhouse.
“It’s the Christmas season, it’s meant to be the joyful season,” he said. “But the Larderhouse and other businesses with a No Labour MPs sticker in the window, they are undermining the inclusive culture that business owners locally have helped to nourish.”
He added, “We have to get politics off the high street full stop, but especially at Christmas.”
Bollocks off!
Sounds a lot to me like sour grapes, you've been kicked out of the local for being part of an unpopular government, one that has seemingly enacted policies that directly harm the establishment you've been banned from.
Instead of being a pissy little bitch, may I suggest taking your lumps like a grown-up?
